LOAN TERMS AND COSTS

Understand your loan.

Standard contractual repayment period: 3 months
Principal and accrued unpaid interest are payable at redemption.
Voluntary early repayment is allowed
You may repay before the contractual due date. Interest is charged monthly on the original loan amount. Each started month is charged as a full month; interest is not calculated daily or prorated for a partial month. Repayment after 10 days attracts one month's interest; repayment after 40 days attracts two months' interest. Interest already paid is deducted from the amount still owing.
Maximum repayment period: 12 months, including all extensions
Paying one month's interest extends the contract by one month, up to a total of 12 months from the original loan start date. No extensions are available beyond this limit. The original principal and all remaining unpaid interest must be repaid by the final due date. Interest paid for an extension does not reduce the original loan amount.
Maximum simple annualised interest rate: 420% per year
Based on the maximum monthly rate of 35% multiplied by 12. The applicable monthly rate depends on the loan amount. Interest is calculated only on the original amount borrowed; unpaid interest does not earn interest.
Other charges: $0
No establishment, storage, administration or other charges.

Representative example: $500 for 3 months

At 35% per month, interest is $175 per month. Over the standard three-month term, total interest is $525. With no other charges, the total payable at redemption is $1,025: $500 principal plus $525 interest.

This example assumes no extensions and no earlier payments. Extensions increase the total cost; interest already paid is not charged again.

Early repayment examples

For the same $500 loan at 35% monthly interest, repayment after 10 days costs $175 in interest, making the total $675. Repayment after 40 days costs $350 in interest, making the total $850. These examples assume no previous payments and no other charges.
